Explore our work with Cruisers Academy from April to June 2022. 

objective

Cruisers Academy had the goal of overall increasing the customers they were acquiring from Google. At the time, the majority of their clients found them via their social media presence. They wanted to generate more sales through search engines to create more sustainable revenue.

solution

The Ugly Pages put together a 3-month plan to get started. We spent the first 1-2 months creating detailed service pages to cover their wide range of offerings. We followed a strategic content & SEO plan to maximize conversions and provide the information their potential customers would want to see.

  • Website redesign. Light visual redesign of site to increase conversions & minimize necessary actions for clients to reach their goals. This meant reorganizing navigation, creating new pages, enhancing call-to- actions, and more.
  • Local SEO. We took a fine-tooth comb through the Google Listing to ensure it's optimized for maximum conversions. This included rewriting their business description, responding to reviews, adding photos, and more.
  • Website SEO. Tagging, compression, and more technical SEO was done to help Google best understand their business. All metadata was manually written to encourage more clicks.
  • Content Creation. We wrote weekly articles answering common sailing questions their potential clients would have.
